A tribute to MileHigh

A man with a certain gift for prose
Complained when things got up his nose
Especially as they referred to those
Outrageous claims by Rosie Pose

Mr Sean - a lurking nasty
Lived in the margins of a thread
Had no brains to use to think with
Nothing moved inside his head.

When he saw that Rosie Ainslie
Could make things electrify
Said 'If she can do so much with nothing
What the hell, then so can I'.

Whereupon he squealed in anguish
The space between his ears did smoke
Said 'Oh dear me and goodness gracious,
Now I'm sorry that I spoke.

I see that thinking isn't easy.
God knows I've never tried before.
I've done it now. I was so tempted.
But it makes my head feel very sore'.

Whereupon he lapsed to mumbling
And that lively moment in his head
Drifted through that spacious vacuum
Then settled down and went to bed.

And those passers by who sadly heard him
Shook their heads and looked away
For they knew that thoughts that stupid
Should not see the light of day.

A questionative kitty
Of a rather fuzzy kind
Had the word Discepitation
Plugged into his mind.

The resulting rambillations
He discursabilly shared
Were cognitativexually
and disturbingly impaired.

A man with his head in an upper domain
Was compelled to exist in the incessant rain
From a cloud in the sky
At least a Mile High
Which eventually melted his brain.

And that man with his head in that lofty domain
Who lived rather 'damp' from way too much rain
From that cloud in the sky
At least a Mile High
Had his feet off the ground so the rain couldn't drain

But again that same man in that distant domain
Whose intellect suffered from torrential rain
From the cloud in the sky
Up there a Mile High
Thankfully never knew pain...

While that cloud stamped his mind with a molecular stain
That moistened and altered its structural grain
Just a cloud in the sky
Up there a Mile High
Changed that brain to pure water, again and again.

Rosie Ainslie took a MOSFET
Beat it like a ginger child
Watch it howl; record the squealing
Spikey waveforms running wild

Her conclusion, 'It's a Zipon!'
“Energy from empty space!"
But poor Rosie is an idiot
Misconstruing every trace

Rosie's calculations offer
“Power IS energy (per the Wiki)"
No citation will convince her
But Tar Baby's awful sticky

Here comes TK, with his chopper
Sliced the data into strips
Lo! the pulsing DC power
Fries her theory, fries her chips

NERDs are spinning in confusion
Tricked by Rosie's wasted years
Sucked into her grand delusion
Vacuums howl between her ears

Cat said 'Enough is enough
I've decided to get really tough
On a dame with a name
For an outrageous claim'.
But the tough was all blunder and bluff.

If philosophy is logical
And logic mathematical
Then the argument that follows this would be

That philosophy is measurable
Quantifiably discernible
And all determined unequivocally

While numbers metaphysical
Would then become nonsensical
A gross dimensional absurdity

While these thoughts are just conceptual
It may perhaps be practical
To wed these branches from a single tree

Of knowledge.  And though questionable
It still is more than reasonable
To let the thought conceive reality.

There once lived a man who loved to TicKle
His taste buds - with a little pickle.
But the question that I'd like to posit
Is when will he ever come out of the closet?

A little tribute to our Little TK.

Guys, Girls and Guests,

In the interests of preserving those more amusing posts - I'm just posting over Poynty's fable related to Ms Gate and Mr Source.  Very entertaining.

Once upon a time Ms. Gate and Mr. Source lived in a two dimensional world and were married, but eventually things didn't work out for them. Now in order to keep the peace, a certain minimum vertical distance must be maintained between the two of them. Let's call this distance "VGS". As long as the relative distance VGS is maintained and Ms. Gate is higher than Mr. Source, the two are content and life flows along normally.

From the diagram, we can see that Ms. Gate and Mr. Source live in the same plane, but are separated by distance VGS relative to each other. They each can move up or down as long as a minimum relative distance VGS is maintained between them and Ms. Gate is higher than Mr. Source. Both Ms. Gate and Mr. Source can live above ground level as shown in Fig. 1, Ms. Gate can be above ground level and Mr. Source below ground level as in Fig. 2, or both can be below ground level as in Fig. 3. In each of the 3 scenarios, Ms. Gate and Mr. Source are content because at all times a relative minimum distance VGS is maintained between them, and life happily flows along.

Moral of the story:

It doesn't matter where Ms. Gate and Mr. Source are in relation to ground level, as long as the relative vertical distance VGS is maintained between them and Ms. Gate is above Mr. Source, life happily flows along.

And here's the follow up to that sad and sorry separation...

My dear Poynty Point,

I see you're trying to introduce a note of gravitas to the subject.  Long overdue.  But in the interests of good journalism - you really need to tell the whole of the story.

In that time long ago - Ms Gate and Mr Source were eventually and legally separated by the stern injunctions imposed by Judge Dontanserbak - in an agreement headed VGS.  Never again could the one talk directly to the other unless through the offices of that revered judge.  And they did indeed remain apart - albeit constrained to lodgings in uncomfortable proximity to each other.  Therefore when any wild electrical storms hit Mr Source - they were also experienced by Ms Gate. But they both enjoyed the relative peace of not talking about the weather.  Or indeed about anything at all. In this way they experienced the relative and rare calm of a tolerable relationship.  And for the first time in their turbulent history - they shared an agreeable consistency - which made that separation bearable.

But Fate intervened.  The day came when - Mr Source was fortunate enough to meet a kindred spirit in little Miss Drain.  This was a match made in heaven.  The little flirt took lodgings directly above Mr Source and thereby pushed poor Ms Gate to the side.  Whereupon Ms Gate complained to Judge Dontanserbak - saying,  'dear Dontanserbak - I have always enjoyed the relative distance that I could maintain between myself and my errant spouse - Mr Source.  I relied on this for my emotional and mental equiliibrium.  But now we have a third party in this triangle - a hussy by the name of Missy Drain.  And as often as not the two of them are in TIGHT concert and I can do nothing but stand here - entirely unable to hear their discourse.  And my greatest fear is that when Missy Drain speaks - that, as likely as not, Mr Source listens.  And neither of them are paying me due heed'.

Whereupon Judge Dontaserbak sat in thought and pondered the problem.  After a while he rose from his deep thoughts and said, 'Ms Gate.  There is nothing more disturbing than a one way conversation.  And as you have been abundantly endowed with the gift of absolute intolerance and no little spite - I recommend that you use it.  I hereby decree that from henceforth - Missy Drain, the hussy that she is - will only be able to speak to Mr Source - through your tapped telephone wire.  And while you may not interrupt that discourse - you may CERTAINLY prevent Mr Source from answering.  I suspect that will satisfy your need for the continual exercise of cruel and unusual punishment.  Certainly it satisfies my own.' This edict was imposed and Ms Gate was thereby satisfied - knowing that Mr Source could be forever prevented from sharing all that lay on his heart, to Missy Drain the hussy. While she could speak to her heart's content albeit without answer from Mr Source.

There is a sequel to this narrative that shows how Mr Source overcame this restriction and indeed did speak directly to Missy Drain.  But that's the subject of a second story. Which is where Mr Source discovered that he was could use his own energy to overcome the evils of Judge Dontanserbak's cruel edict.

An owl and a pickle decided to see
the effect of their genes
on their progeny.

But the pickle was small the owl was old
And their feelings at best
had run rather cold

While the question itself was shelved in that night
When owl simply turned
And took a big bite

Of poor pickle who died.  And now neither would know
what their children would be like
or how they would grow.

And the sorry part of that horrid question
Is that owl also died
but from indigestion.

On a macabre speculation developed by Mr Dansie

This riddle's for our little TK.

By rights your age needs must be told
Take heart and be a little bold

I know the place where you reside
And who you live with by your side

I know your school I know your major
I know your phone but not your pager

So rest assured my little pickle
Your name will not be worth a nickle.

When I am done then all that tar
Will rub on you and who you are.

And here's a point that makes me laugh
I even have your photograph

 8) :o

And while I'm at it may I add - it's not you sits on that chair
You've photographed your friend TK - I know this from the hair.

The lament of the trolls

A pickle spent much of the day trying to say
That his size was most certainly measurable
While conductance was possibly part of that art
It was capacitance made that art pleasurable.

But reactance then came to be largely to blame
For his size that was somewhat dirisable
As the whole was revised and accordingly sized
And found to be ever divisible.

His friend who lived up there some many miles high
Explained that he had a solution.
But he factored the square of pi in the sky
Which compounded to abject confusion.

And the owl then decided to throw in the towel
As she tried very hard not to snigger.
For she knew that though small, Planck's constant was all
Of it yet most assuredly bigger.

And the point of this sorrowful dirge that I urge
You to hear in this gentle reminder
Is the brunt of the joke that I poke at this bloke
Is one needs to be cruel to be kinder.

If I've managed this upload - this is a rendition of our Poynty that is rather eloquent.  Very nice indeed Polln8r.

It 'took'.  Very nice picture of you Poynty Point.  When I can find the time I'm going to get this printed and framed.  It's GORGEOUS.

A sad little troll was Magsy the poor
little sod who crossed the line on the floor
To knock for admission inside the door
Where he asked if troll membership still needed more.

He then said what he could still bring to the table
Was a knowledge of circuitry where he was able
To advance the pretense of that scurrilous stable
That the unity barrier collapse was a fable

Though crowded the trolls said 'Pull up a chair.
Your knowledge is rank and your language is spare.
You're thin on IQ and you seem not to care
Which are precisely those talents that we hold most dear.'

So Magsy the man became MaGsy the mouse
The troll who lived in that rather soiled house
as an intern for schooling to learn how a souse
Can devolve from a troll to a lousy louse.

Dear  Poynty Point I see that you
Are limited by your IQ

So though you tried with all your might
You'd never get the question right

And meanwhile just to shield your fall
I will pretend you know it all

And we can all then just suppose
You've run that quest for Rosie Pose

And you can hold your head up high
Although - in truth - it's all a lie.

A darling little pickle - Chicken Licken was his name
Explained the sky - so high - would most likely turn to flame
If Rosie Pose the poser - persisted with her claim
That anything at all could come from naught.

So Rosie put her nosie just an inch above the floor
so that her failing eyes could then encapsulate him more
And once he was in focus and knowing this for sure
She tried her best to teach him as she aught.

But little Ickle Pickle only had a tiny brain
Just a crystallized suggestion of a sandy little grain
That scattered in the sunlight and melted in the rain
And the sad result was nothing could be taught.

On the subject of 'trollmanship'
Here MileHigh indulges in FANTASTICAL MEASUREMENT ANALYSIS TO REPLACE THE STANDARD MODEL

http://www.overunity.com/13234/welcome-to-understanding-overunity/msg351283/#msg351283

Dear MileHigh it seems that you're rather presumptive
if you think that we're ever inclined to believe
that nonsense you write.  It's not only disruptive
but is based on the trivia you pull from your sleeve.

Dear MileHigh in view of those weird machinations
that your churn from your keyboard - bereft of all thought,
may your readers advise you - they're all fabrications
and NOT based on the standards of measurement taught.

Dear MileHigh - I wonder if we could prevent you
from stalking us?  Drift further upwards and ever away.
We readers are heartily sick of you talking
and would far rather hear what others will say.

Hi Guys,

Was not sure where to put this.  It's a picture of my grandchildren with their latest edition.  He's a male cub - rejected by his mum.  The family are rallying to foster him until he's a little more adult and fully weened.

How sweet it is this?

Guys - just to keep record of the limericks written as a tribute to Stan.  Sadly I do not know the author... If anyone can find this out - then let me know and I'll post it here.  Meanwhile many thanks to Jim Miller for posting this on the forum.  His own thread as a tribute to Meyer is on this link...
http://www.energy-shiftingparadigms.com/index.php/topic,2506.msg4332/topicseen.html#msg4332

I once knew a man named Meyer
Whose car changed water to fire.
We all saw it run
Under the Grove City sun
But the fools still called him a liar.

I once knew a fellow named Stan
Whose car on water, it ran.
Plain H2O
Rain water or snow
But Big Oil was never a fan.

My neighbor - Stan Meyer's no fool
His car uses water for fuel
Though some think him strange
The world - it could change
But Powers that be are so cruel.

I once had a friend in Grove City
Whose buggy was really quite pretty.
On water it ran,
Stan's gift to all Man.
He's gone now and that is a pity.

Stan Meyer lived down on my street
And one time I went over to eat
He showed me great things
That were wanted by Kings
And we then dined on taters and meat

I once had a house on Broadway
And Stan gave me a ride one day.
It didn't use gas
It went real fast
And he Said, 'Pass the ammo and pray'.

by anonymous - unless someone can locate the author?  It would be much appreciated.

Guys I've removed this post from my 'debunking' thread and posted it here as it's more appropriate

Kindest as ever,
Rosie

And at the risk of waxing poetic - or allowing the Master to do so on my behalf - HERE'S an allegory for the fight against the dark future that our trolls are trying to manage ...

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
